Rocky Mountain Region - NCVA

The Rocky Mountain Region - Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association - (RMR-NCVA) chapter was officially organized on 17 June 2000 in Aurora, Colorado. The primary purpose of the RMR-NCVA is to hold social functions, support the NCVA through preservation of our cryptologic history and advertise the existence of the NCVA. Our secondary mission will be to sponsor one-year NCVA memberships for NSGA Denver's Senior and Junior Sailor of the Year.

RMR-NCVA is organizing a bid for the 2008 NCVA reunion. The bid will be presented at the 2005 Reunion in San Antonio, Texas.

All NCVA members in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Wyoming are automatically eligible for membership. Membership in the NCVA is a prerequisite for membership in the RMR-NCVA Chapter. We strongly encourage people who are presently serving, or have had past naval cryptologic service, but haven't yet joined the NCVA to attend our meetings and events to learn more about the NCVA and consider membership in both organizations.

The "Kick-Off" meeting to officially form the Rocky Mountain Region chapter was held at American Legion Post 1992 in Aurora, Colorado on 17 June 2000. Twenty NCVA members were in attendance (counting the one who signed up during the meeting). All twenty joined the RMR-NCVA. Fees to join RMR-NCVA were established at: $10.00 one time initiation fee, and $5.00 per year membership. Membership year was established as July 1 through June 30 of the following year to align with the NCVA membership year. Elections were held and the list of officers appears below.
