NRT-0002 COMPUTER SECURITY:
According to a survey conducted by Symantec Corporation (our friends with Norton's Utilities, AntiVirus, and SystemWorks), little more than half of all long-term Internet users take measures to prevent online fraud, despite having concerns they may become fraud victims. The proportion of respondents that said they had shopped or made financial transactions online was 84.8 percent and 63.7 percent, respectively. Those who said they had suffered as a consequence of being tricked into revealing personal information online or via similar scams accounted for 3.5 percent. The survey found that what concerned people most when making electronic payments were, "Theft or exposure of personal information," at 90.6 percent, and "Unsolicited withdrawal of bank deposits and unauthorized credit card use" at 90.4 percent.
