NRT-0007 FBI Warning about Webcams:
The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are urging local, state, and federal agencies and the private sector that have or use Web cameras (webcams) to review the shots of their facilities (homes) that are being transmitted. The advisory was reportedly sent after an Islamic extremist web site posted an item entitled “You Can Spy on the Enemies.” The site provided a link to a live Webcam at a regional airport in Hagerstown, MD, which allowed users to control the camera and zoom in on the terminal and cargo areas. The webcam has since been disabled by airport officials after receiving the warning. (http://www.nbc4.com, 12JAN07)
