The 1997 Seattle NCVA reunion host has announced that negotiations have been completed with the host hotel DOUBLETREE HOTEL, SEATTLE AIRPORT. Telephone (206) 246-8600 or 1-800-222-8733. NCVA room rates are $92 double plus the 11% state and local room tax. Reservations must be placed prior to August 22, 1997. The NCVA room rate applies before and after the reunion, and will be maintained for those going on the post-reunion Alaska tour. Reservation requests for guests arriving after 1800 must have cash or a credit card guarantee. When you register, it is essential that you identify yourself as NCVA. This is the only way the Association can be credited for the numbers of rooms booked to obtain the use of meeting rooms without charge.

Deluxe City Tour: Wednesday, Sep 17, 1997, 1300-1500. $22.

Bainbridge Island Tour: Thursday, Sep 18, 0830-1600; ferry to B. I., Salmon luncheon at Kiana Lodge, drive to the old Naval Security Group station, and more. Price complete price including lunch $48. Lunch menu: Steamed Clams Alder Smoked Salmon, Coleslaw, Vegetables du Jour, Roasted Potatoes, Rolls and butter, Raspberry Shortcake! Like WOW man!!

Leavenworth Shopping Tour: Friday Sep 19, 1997, 0830-1630. $40. Shopping tour to this Bavarian type village, into the Cascade Mountains and over Stevens Pass to this village. On the return trip a different route, through Blewett and Snoqualmie passes.

Historic Pioneer Square and Seattle Underground Tour: Friday, Sep 19, 1997, 0845-1145. $25. The history of Seattle unfolds before you and comes to life as you are guided through the streets of historic pioneer Square on a deluxe motorcoach. Learn about the historic architecture, plus Seattle's colorful heroes and villians. During your visit to the Klondike Museum, the smallest National Park in Washington, you will view Seattle's role in the Alaska Gold Rush and see a gold panning demonstration. On the Underground Walking Tour, see the "old Seattle" that still remains today. After the Great Fire of 1889 the city was leveled and you will learn why the streets were raised eight to thirty-five feet from where they originally stood. This humorous tour will keep Seattle's history long in your memory.

Especially for the spouse (male or female) not involved in the NCVA General Meeting on Saturday morning, this delightful tour visits the Herbfarm and Gilman Village, in the Cascade foothills. Learn about flavors, fragrances, varieties and uses of these incredible plants. Then visit Gilman Vilage in Issaquah. More than 50 boutiques with a wide variety of merchandise and food! $22.

Snoqualmie Falls/Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery: Saturday, Sep 20, 1997, 1230-1630. Snoqualmie Falls, and a visit to Washington's premier winery. Sample world famous wines. $22.

Victoria B. C. Day Trip: Sunday, Sepr 21, 1997, 0730-2130.a Take the Victoria Clipper Jet Catamaran from Seattle through the San Juan Islands to Victoria, B. C. Visit the walker's paradise, Victoria.
